There was an excellent turn out for the Bill Martin Testimonial Challenge on Saturday. 121 players entered and enjoyed the fun format. There were some excellent scores recorded with Nick Cowie winning with an incredible score of 49 pts followed closely by Ian Martinson with 48 pts. The full results can be found by clicking here.
Evening entertainment was provided by Callum Tordoff and a good evening was enjoyed by all.
Thanks to all who bought tickets and contributed prizes for the raffle also thanks to Sue and Norma for all their hard work. The raffle winners are listed below and the unclaimed prizes can be collected from the office. The raffle raised £561 for the Junior Bursary fund giving a total raised on the day of £827. This brings the total in the fund to £872 including the contribution from Sonia's Presidents day. Well done to everyone.

Bill you will be sadley missed by all but while I was playing all around I could hear was people laughing and cheering and most all having fun and I would like to think you were up there having a good laugh with us too. Thank you for everything you have done for our golf club

I didn't no bill and can't say i met him but what i do no is if this sort of day is what bill was about then i think this should be an annual event in the stocksfield golf club calendar because myself and the three guys i played the round with thoroughly enjoyed it great fund raiser, and well done � to whoever organised it

Bill will forever be a huge miss.
Sadly, I couldn’t make the ‘fun event’ on Saturday due to personal reasons.
However, from all accounts it was a huge success and I can only echo the suggestion from David that this should become an annual event.
Thank you to everyone involved in it’s organisation.
