Chairman Steven Pearson has reached his 70th milestone and organised an excellent celebration bash at the club. Steven thanked Russell for providing his usual excellent buffet and the fabulous singer for keeping everyone entertained. He also thanked everyone for their presents.

Earlier this year members completed an email survey sent out by 'Players First' in association with England Golf which is being used in many golf clubs across the country. We had a 62% return rate on the survey and would like to thank all those who took the time to participate.
A summary of the results is shown in the following tables comparing our scores against the previous survey in 2020 and other Northern Clubs. Also there are some of our initial responses regarding improvements.

A busy lead up to Christmas for the club, celebrating the successes of the year and members enjoying an excellent Christmas Lunch.

At the Presentation Night on Saturday 3rd Dec., Captain Fin welcomed everyone then kicked off with a brief overview of the year with particular mention of the tremendous successes of the various teams representing the club.

This weekend sees the start of the Winter Leagues. The format is singles Stableford competitions with points awarded each week. There are separate leagues for Saturday and Sunday with points awarded according according to finishing position.

Congratulations to Stocksfield's mixed team on making it all the way to the final of the British Inter-Club Mixed Team Championship in Portugal. Qualifying as the Northern regional winners they headed off to Portugal for the finals where they won their semi-final match 4-1 then were narrowly beaten in the final 3.5-1.5.
